Roommate Rent Split Calculator (2–6 People, Optional Income Weight)
Shared housing is rent plus utilities, then a rule for who pays what. Equal split divides the total by the number of people. Income-weighted split charges each person total × (their income ÷ sum of incomes you fill in). Unused roommate slots stay blank. This is a fairness sketch, not a lease.

How this calculation works
Total = rent + utilities. Pick 2 to 6 people. Equal mode: each share = total ÷ people (shown on every filled slot).
Income mode: enter incomes for person 1…N. Share i = total × income_i / (income_1 + … + income_N). If every income is 0, the calculator falls back to equal so you do not get zeros.
Leave extra income boxes at 0 when you have fewer than six people — they are ignored. Person 4–6 shares hide when you selected fewer people.
Room size, parking, and “I WFH so I use more electricity” are not in the formula. Adjust by agreement after you see the numbers.
