What it measures
- β Mental rotation of 2D and 3D objects
- β Visualization of folding, unfolding, and assembly
- β Tracking spatial transformations and viewpoint changes
How it is scored
Responses are scored for accuracy and often response time, then standardized against an age-based norm group so a score of 100 represents the average. Spatial subtests usually contribute to the broader nonverbal or performance portion of an IQ profile.
π‘ Tip: Practice rotating an object one step at a time in your head rather than all at once, and use a fixed reference point on the shape to keep your bearings.
