Horned or 'Pac-Man' frogs (genus Ceratophrys) are squat, enormous-mouthed ambush predators kept as low-effort display animals, spending most of their lives half-buried in damp substrate waiting to lunge at prey. They are hardy and cheap to start but must be housed strictly alone (they are cannibalistic), are not meant to be handled, and can deliver a surprisingly hard bite.
