One common oral rule treats days whose daily branch is Chen, Xu, Chou, or Wei — the four Earth branches — as days when the wandering “hand/spirit” is said to be in the sky. That cycle is the public sexagenary day count, not a publisher’s table. The 2026 sample calendar below uses only this folk rule.
Another household custom treats lunar dates ending in 9 or 10 (and their pairs) as rest days for the spirit. Lunar conversion depends on leap months and local calendars, so we do not republish a paid lunar almanac day-by-day. If your family uses lunar dates, compare with the calendar you already trust.
What counts as son-eomneun-nal differs by region and family. Some people use only the solar branch, some only lunar end-dates, some both. It is custom, not law. Book movers and venues first; treat the folk day as optional colour.
Do not treat these days as lottery, exam, or market forecasts. Draws are random. Exams reward preparation. Folk calendars soothe planning anxiety; they do not predict outcomes.
