Both FUE and DHI are modern, scar-free hair-transplant techniques, and the difference is smaller than clinics often imply. FUE extracts follicular units and implants them into pre-made incisions; DHI uses an implanter pen to extract and place grafts in one step, letting the surgeon control depth and angle directly and pack grafts densely without first cutting channels. DHI is often marketed as superior and can suit dense, precise hairline work, but it is slower, costs more, and demands specific skill; FUE remains excellent and is better suited to large sessions. Crucially, both give natural results in expert hands and poor ones in inexperienced hands — the surgeon's skill matters far more than the FUE-versus-DHI label. Choose the surgeon and their documented results first, and treat the technique name as secondary.
