Eyebrow transplant results: timeline and what looks natural

Eyebrow restoration places single-hair (or very small) grafts along a drawn brow. The recipient skin is thin; the aesthetic risk is high because everyone sees your face. Direction must follow the natural herringbone of a brow — inward, upward, then taper — or the result reads as tattoos made of hair. Donor is usually scalp, so the new brow will grow like scalp hair: longer, faster, and often coarser than native brow. Lifelong trimming and training with gel is normal, not a failure. Over-dense placement, the wrong caliber, or a trendy Instagram arch that ignores your orbital bone is how 'results' become a second surgery.

Healing follows the usual graft calendar: scabs, shed, quiet, then growth from about month 3, with a fair photograph nearer a year. Some shafts never return; a touch-up is common if the plan was conservative. Makeup and microblading sit on top of skin; a transplant sits in it. People with alopecia areata need a different conversation — transplanted hair can still be attacked if the disease is active. Trichotillomania has to be quiet or you will pull the expensive work out. Scarring from old brows or burns changes take and direction. Minoxidil near the eye is not a casual extra; keep products out of the eye and follow the surgeon, not a viral brow serum.
