Is collagen the same as keratin treatments at the salon?
No. Salon keratin is a coating and smoothing process on the shaft. Oral collagen is digested protein. Neither is a medical regrowth protocol.
Can collagen stop hair shedding?
If shedding is from crash dieting, eating enough protein can help the telogen shift recover. If shedding is androgenetic miniaturisation, collagen powder will not replace minoxidil or a DHT blocker.
